SEATTLE – Visitors to Hawaii have long had the chance to use SpeediShuttle to get from the airport to their hotel in style. On May 1, SpeediShuttle will bring its first class shuttle service to Seattle.

SpeediShuttle’s fleet of new deluxe Mercedes Benz shuttles offers a luxurious ride to and from SeaTac. Fares will be surprisingly affordable and less expensive than taxi services to most areas. The new, very eco-friendly fleet features 11 passenger models, all using Damiler’s BlueTEC technology. BlueTEC produces the cleanest-burning diesel engines in the world.

“When we decided to expand beyond Hawaii, the Seattle market was our clear first choice,” said CEO Cecil Morton. “Hawaii is one of Seattle’s favorite destinations, and so many visitors from the Northwest already know us well.”

Morton said SpeediShuttle, which serves 1.3 million passengers a year in Hawaii, is bringing a level of service not currently offered in the Seattle area.

“We exclusively use Mercedes shuttle’s with more luxury features than any other manufacturer of similar size vehicles including more than 6 feet of headroom, and are the safest shuttle in its class,” he said. “Our focus is always about our customers experience and how to make the ordinary experience extraordinary. Far from the ordinary are their shuttles. Various models feature captain’s chairs and all have video monitors playing SpeediShuttle’s HDTV network and on-board complimentary Wi-Fi.”

Morton said Seattle places a very high value on customer service, consistent with SpeediShuttle's service metrics, and includes extremely reasonable pricing to all areas of King County.

Morton said the company closely screens drivers. Once chosen, a driver goes through a rigorous training program including an ongoing customer development training program

“We want to make sure our drivers are the safest they can be, but also that they are completely dedicated to surpassing what the customer expects of them,” Morton said. “We teach all employees to anticipate our customer’s needs based on the simple principal of Omotenashi and Ho’okipa, the Japanese and Hawaiian essence of hospitality.”

In addition to drivers, SpeediShuttle will be the first shared ride shuttle operator in Seattle to have a reception team at each baggage claim area greeting each arriving customer with discreet signage to quickly and safely direct them to their shuttle.

The shuttles themselves are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The onboard GPS keeps track of the shuttle’s location and speed while the driver messaging system allows the driver to keep focused on the road.

SpeediShuttle maintains a 24/7 call center, but reservations also can be made through its state of the art online ticketing portal. SpeediShuttle is also known for its corporate division, which contracts directly with companies or other groups to provide a full range of efficient, business-class ground transportation services.
